Full rules

01
Boundaries
Marshall sets boundary cones — kids can hide anywhere INSIDE the cones. No going behind doors, into the gear room, or anywhere the Marshall can't see. Big arena = plenty of legit spots.
-
02
The count
Seeker stands at the lobby wall, eyes closed, counts to 30 out loud (or 60 for older kids). Everyone else picks a hiding spot. Marshall keeps tabs on where the youngest kids go.
-
03
The search
Seeker calls 'ready or not, here I come!' and starts searching. They tag a hider — that hider sits out on the bench. Game ends when all hiders are found, or after 5 minutes (whichever first).
-
04
Sardines variant
Reverse hide and seek — one kid hides, everyone else seeks, and when you find them, you JOIN their hiding spot quietly. Last seeker still searching loses. Hilarious with 12+ kids cramming behind one barrier.
Pro tips
- TIP
Stay quiet. Giggling = caught.
- TIP
Don't all hide in the same spot — newer hiders, find your own.
- TIP
Move during the search if your spot's getting hot. Slow and quiet wins.
Variations the Marshall might call
- · Sardines (reverse hide and seek)
- · Lights-fully-off hide and seek (4+ only with parent)
- · Team hide and seek — find your teammates first to win
