Capture the Flag

Each team defends a sensor-equipped flag inside their home cell. Grab the other team's flag and run it back to your cell to score. The big board lights up the moment the flag goes airborne.

First team to 3 captures takes the match. Sudden-death overtime if tied at the buzzer — first capture wins.

  1. 01

    Setup

    Two cells, one at each end of the arena. Each cell holds one sensor flag on a pedestal. Teams start inside their own cell. Marshall counts down, lights flip green, go.

  2. 02

    The flag

    Our flags know when they're sitting, lifted, airborne, or captured. The 75-inch board shows live status. A flag is 'airborne' the second it leaves the pedestal — alarms sound, defenders react.

  3. 03

    Scoring a capture

    Grab the opposing flag, carry it back to your own cell, and place it on your pedestal. The board confirms with a capture animation. That's a point. Both flags reset for the next round.

  4. 04

    Tagging

    If you're in enemy territory and a defender tags you (two-hand touch), you drop the flag where it is and return to your cell before re-entering play. The dropped flag is fair game for anyone.

  5. 05

    Safe zones

    Your own cell is your safe zone — defenders can't tag you while you're inside. Don't camp it the entire match, though. The Marshall will start a 10-second 'must exit' clock if you do.

Pro tips

  • TIP

    Send 2 attackers + 3 defenders to start, then adjust based on what works.

  • TIP

    A fake-out toward one wing usually pulls a defender off the flag — coordinate it.

  • TIP

    The carrier should NEVER take the straight line back. Zigzag, use cover.

  • TIP

    Watch the big board — if your flag goes airborne, get back fast.
